Technically, knitting is using a couple of long sticks to wrap string around itself until you get some kind of fabric. The technique is simple, and people have been knitting for thousands of years. It can be the most fulfilling hobby that anyone can have.
But like any art or craft it does require learning the basics, knowing the techniques, then your imagination and creativity can take over.
It started in year 2001. It was my hubby's birthday... and I thought what a nice thing to give as a gift if I were to knit him a sleeveless pullover. Back then, I have no idea how to knit...
So, when I started learning, I have to buy lot of tools and yarns for the pullover and OMG, the whole thing cost me RM700.00 ringgit. That's quite a lot for a start.
Then I figured since I've bought myself some knitting needles and some ball of yarns and after a reasonable learning period, I'd be churning out hats and sweaters like crazy. I could knit Birthday and Christmas presents instead of buying my friends and family more junk!
So, here are the things that I've knitted and along the way, I've learned up crocheting...
